It was born as a draught beer, served very cold and with almost no pressure, creating the style as an alternative to the pale ales brewed in rural England at the beginning of the 20th century.
The Civil Guard is largely to thank for the brewing of this beer; a customer at our gastro-brewery in Santullano de las Regueras asked us for a flavorful beer he could drink “A DEGÜELLU” (flat out) and still pass a breathalyzer test.
Maris Otter and Crystal malts, Challenger, Fuggles, and East Kent Golding hops.
