Aroma: prominent coffee and roasted notes, with light hints of chocolate.
Appearance: black color, cinnamon-colored head, and persistent lacing.
Flavor: moderately roasted, with touches of coffee and chocolate notes.
Mouthfeel: medium body, creamy character, low to moderate carbonation.
Today’s stout beers are an evolution of the stout porters that were very popular around 1800, which are essentially a more intense version of a porter.
The term stout began to be used in the mid-18th century to define any beer with a higher alcohol content and stronger flavor.
This was the third brew from our brewery; it couldn’t be delayed for long, considering it’s one of our brewer’s favorite styles.
It was part of the grand opening of our first location, GASTRO-CERVECERIA DAI in Santullano de las Regueras.
Maris Otter, roasted barley, chocolate and flaked barley malts, East Kent Golding hops.
